Mr. Anuraag Khaund was a researcher in International Relations and Diplomacy whose work focused on geopolitics, strategic affairs, maritime security, Indo-Pacific studies, China, Afghanistan, and emerging regional power dynamics. His research combined strategic analysis with historical perspectives to examine contemporary global challenges and evolving geopolitical trends.
Mr. Anuraag was pursuing advanced studies in International Relations at the Central University of Gujarat. He established himself as an emerging voice in strategic and security studies through academic publications, policy articles, and public commentary.
Mr. Anuraag's areas of expertise included geopolitics and grand strategy, Indo-Pacific affairs, China studies, Afghanistan and Central Asia, maritime security, strategic competition, international diplomacy, regional security architecture, South Asian foreign policy, and political geography and connectivity. His work reflected a strong understanding of the strategic, political, and security dynamics shaping regional and global affairs.
His research explored how geography, history, economics, and strategy influenced international politics. He particularly examined strategic competition among major powers, corridor geopolitics and connectivity initiatives, China's foreign and security policy, India's strategic and diplomatic engagement, the evolving Indo-Pacific security architecture, maritime strategy and sea power, and the emergence of regional alliances and minilateral frameworks.
Mr. Anuraag's scholarly contributions included book chapters, journal articles, policy papers, and analytical essays on a wide range of strategic issues, including China's engagement with Afghanistan, India's Indo-Pacific strategy, Taiwan and semiconductor geopolitics, maritime power and Indo-Pacific security, the Abraham Accords and regional realignments, the geopolitical implications of strategic corridors, and India's strategic engagement in the Indo-Pacific. His work appeared in edited academic volumes and strategic journals, contributing to scholarly discussions on regional security, geopolitics, and international affairs.
Beyond academic publishing, Mr. Anuraag regularly authored analytical articles on contemporary geopolitical developments. His commentary examined strategic competition, regional conflicts, emerging security challenges, and the evolving global order, making complex international issues accessible to both policy and academic audiences. He adopted an interdisciplinary approach to international relations, integrating history, strategic studies, political geography, economics, and diplomacy to produce comprehensive geopolitical analyses grounded in evidence and long-term strategic thinking.
